Seven earth-toned stripes with a black bear paw print in the upper-left canton. The colours reference the fur colours of bear species worldwide and the diversity of the community.

Proportions 2:1:2. Inspired by Liz Nania's biangles symbol. Unveiled at BiCafe's first anniversary party. Page described the purple as representing how "bi people blend unnoticeably into both the gay/lesbian and straight communities."

Demiboy Flag

Seven-stripe symmetrical design (gray, light gray, light blue, white, light blue, light gray, gray). The blue marks partial connection to maleness; gray marks the partial or absent gender.

Demigender (Demigirl / Demiboy) flag

Demiromantic Flag

A black hoist chevron with white, gray, and green areas. Green marks the aromantic spectrum; gray the demi/partial experience.

Disability Pride flag

A charcoal field crossed by five diagonal stripes. The muted colours and straight stripes were chosen so the flag is safe for people with visually-triggered conditions such as migraine and seizures.

Leather Pride flag

Designer: Tony DeBlase · 1989

Nine horizontal stripes alternating black and royal blue with a white central stripe, plus a red heart in the upper-left canton. Black = leather, blue = denim, white = purity in open and honest relationships, red = love.

Lesbian flag

Labrys Lesbian Flag (Sean Campbell, 1999): Violet background, inverted black triangle, white labrys. The labrys was adopted by lesbian feminists in the 1970s as a symbol of female power. The black triangle reclaimed a Nazi persecution symbol.

Original 8-Stripe Gilbert Baker Rainbow Flag

Designer: Gilbert Baker · 1978

Baker's original design. Hot pink was dropped due to fabric unavailability; turquoise was dropped to allow even splitting for display on lampposts, leaving the modern six-stripe flag.

The 'More Color More Pride' flag added black and brown stripes atop the six-stripe rainbow to address the erasure of Black and Brown LGBTQ+ people. It directly influenced the 2018 Progress Pride Flag.

Progress Pride Flag

A redesign of the six-stripe flag adding a left-pointing chevron of black, brown, light blue, pink, and white to foreground LGBTQ+ people of color and the trans community. The chevron points left to indicate progress still to be made.

Puppy Pride flag

Diagonal black and blue stripes with a white centre and a red bone, inspired by the Leather Pride flag. Several versions exist and the design is not fully standardised.

Queer People of Color flag

The six-stripe rainbow flag with a raised brown or black fist in the centre, signalling solidarity between queer liberation and racial-justice movements. The fist colour varies.

The current six-stripe rainbow flag, the most widely recognized LGBTQ+ symbol worldwide. Adapted from Gilbert Baker's original 1978 eight-stripe design after hot pink and turquoise were dropped.

Straight Ally Flag

Black and white horizontal stripes overlaid with a rainbow 'A' (for ally) chevron using the standard six-stripe rainbow values. No standardized stripe HEX values exist beyond black, white, and the rainbow set.

Transgender & Nonbinary Love flag

A love-and-solidarity design combining the transgender flag (light blue, pink, white) and the non-binary flag (yellow, white, purple, black), usually shown as interlocking hearts. It is a celebratory design rather than a single standardised community flag.

Transgender flag

Helms designed the flag after a dinner with Michael Page (bisexual flag designer) who encouraged her: "The trans community could use a flag too."
