Questioning

Used to describe people who are exploring or are unsure about their sexual orientation, gender identity, or both. Questioning is a valid state of being - not a transitional phase that must resolve into something else.

The "Q" in LGBTQ+ has represented "Questioning" since the acronym expanded from LGBT in the 1990s - acknowledging that identity exploration is a legitimate ongoing experience, not just a precursor to a fixed label.
