Visiting the GenderGender shop in Ghent
Do I need to make an appointment to visit the shop?
You don't need an appointment to visit our gender-affirming shop. Just check our opening hours and address in Ghent. If you'd like to come outside opening hours, contact us to schedule an appointment.
Can I get sizing advice if I can't get to the shop?
Yes. It's often enough to send us your measurements by email, and we'll give you personalised sizing advice. Feel free to email us whenever you need help choosing a size.
Am I obliged to buy something if I visit the shop?
No. Visiting the shop is completely without obligation. You're never required to make a purchase.
Can I take my product home immediately after my visit?
Yes. Every product available on our website is in stock in Ghent. If your desired product isn't in stock, we can order it for you.
Can I pay in the shop?
Yes. In-store you can pay with Payconiq, Bancontact, debit card, credit card or cash.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes, no problem at all. You're welcome to bring a friend or family member.
Can I drop by without an appointment?
Yes! Just check our opening hours in Ghent before you come.
Choosing the right size
How do I know which size is right for me?
Take your measurements as described in the size chart on each product page, then find the size that matches your measurements in the chart. If your measurements fall between sizes or you'd like personal advice, please contact us.
What should I do if my measurements fall between sizes?
If your measurements deviate from the size chart, don't hesitate to contact us for tailored sizing advice.
Can I come in to try on different sizes and products?
Yes. You don't need an appointment: just check our opening hours and address in Ghent. To come outside opening hours, contact us to schedule a fitting.
My product is different from one I ordered before. Why?
We're constantly improving our products, so the fit or fabric may differ slightly from an earlier version.
My size is out of stock. What can I do?
Occasionally a product sells out. It's often back within a few days. Contact us and we'll let you know as soon as your size is back in stock.
Using your products & product information
I'm finding my product hard to put on. What should I do?
First, check you've ordered the correct size. The size chart on each product page explains how to take your measurements; find the size that matches yours in the chart.
How long can I safely wear a chest binder?
We recommend removing your binder after no more than 8 hours. If you're not in a safe space, you can extend this to a maximum of 12 hours. We also recommend taking at least one rest day from binding.
Which chest binder is right for me?
Choosing a binder is very personal. Some people prefer a short binder, others a longer shirt binder. If you have wider hips, a short binder is best, as a longer model can roll up. For larger sizes we don't recommend a belt-model binder, as it can sag. For sport, we recommend our sport binders. Still unsure? Contact us.
Which breast forms are right for me?
Choosing breast forms is personal. Some prefer a fuller bust, others a medium size. For a broad chest we recommend triangle breast forms; for a narrower chest, oval breast forms. Still in doubt? Contact us.
Which packer (penile prosthesis) is right for me?
Choosing a packer is very personal and depends on your wishes, how you'll use it and your build. In most cases a small will suffice. For personal advice, please contact us.
How do I tell the front from the back of my binder?
The front and back can be hard to tell apart. If the Untag card is still attached, it's always on the front. Another tip: the back has deeper-cut armholes to give your shoulder blades room to move.
Can I swim while wearing my binder?
Most binders aren't made for swimming. Prolonged contact with chlorine, salt or seawater can affect the fabric and damage the product over time. Our swim products are more water-resistant. Look for items labelled swimwear.
Can I swim while wearing my breast forms?
Most silicone breast forms aren't well suited to swimming. Prolonged contact with chlorine, sea or other bathing water can affect the silicone wrap and damage the product over time.
Can I swim with my foam padding?
Foam pads, such as the foam penis padding and foam penis padding with shape, are slightly water-repellent and could be used in water. However, we can't guarantee durability with prolonged use. Chlorine, sea or other bathing water can affect the foam over time.
Can I swim with my Mr. Limpy packer?
You can swim with the Mr. Limpy, but the material weathers faster with chlorine or seawater. With intensive use it can become more compact over time, keeping its shape but shrinking slightly. We recommend always rolling the Mr. Limpy in cornstarch to stop it sticking or getting dirty.
Washing & care instructions
How do I wash binders, tops and tucking underwear?
Wash at a maximum of 30°C. These items often contain elastic fabrics (an elastane and polyamide blend) that aren't suitable for hot washing or tumble drying, so don't put them in the dryer. Use only a little detergent. To keep white undergarments bright, wash them with your other whites.
How do I keep my silicone packer clean?
Silicone packers wash easily with lukewarm water and a small drop of mild soap. Pat dry or let it air-dry on a towel.
How do I keep my Mr. Limpy clean?
To keep your Mr. Limpy soft and supple, wash it with lukewarm water and a small drop of mild soap. Shake off the drops, roll it in a bowl of cornstarch, and let it dry on a towel. Once dry, shake off the excess powder. Never use talcum powder or harsh soap, as this tears the material.
How do I keep my STP clean?
An STP rinses easily under the tap with lukewarm water and a small drop of mild soap. Then air-dry it or pat it dry with a towel.
How do I keep my silicone breast forms clean?
Silicone breast forms wash easily with lukewarm water and a small drop of mild soap. To keep them in good condition, store them in a protective case such as the original box. Take care with long nails and sharp-edged rings, as the material can tear.
How do I keep my foam padding clean?
Foam penis or breast padding washes easily by hand in lukewarm water with a small drop of mild soap. Do not machine wash.
Payments
How can I pay for my order?
You can pay online through our secure payment system: Stripe, PayPal or manual payment. Note that some payment methods may add extra costs.
Can I pay for my order afterwards?
Yes, if you choose the manual payment method you can pay within 14 days. We ship your order once we've received payment.
My chosen payment method isn't working. What should I do?
Please contact us and we'll see how we can solve the problem.
Can I pay in installments?
No, paying for your order in installments isn't possible.
Orders
I didn't receive an order confirmation email. What now?
We always send a confirmation email to the address you provided. Check your spam folder too. If you still can't find it and aren't sure your order went through, please contact us.
Can I cancel or change my order?
To cancel or change your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, it can no longer be cancelled or changed.
An item is missing from my order. What can I do?
If an item is missing, please contact us and we'll resolve it for you.
Can I place an order by email?
Yes, by exception we accept orders by email. We'll create the order and send a payment request to your email.
Shipping
How long does delivery take?
Once we've received your payment, it takes 2–3 business days to process and ship your order. After shipping, delivery averages 2 working days within Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg; 5–8 working days to other EU countries; and 8–16 working days outside the EU. Which couriers do you ship with?
We use bpost and DPD for most orders. We have no influence over the partners these couriers work with abroad.
How can I track my order?
If you ordered with tracking, we email you the courier and Track & Trace code (this may land in spam). Use the code to track your order on the courier's website.
I can't select a shipping option. What should I do?
We ship to almost every country, with a few exceptions. If you don't see shipping options, please contact us.
Will my order be shipped discreetly?
Yes. All orders are sent in a plain box with no logos or text. There's no way to tell from the outside where the parcel comes from. Your privacy is our top priority. We are legally required to include a return postcode, street and house number as the sender address, so an undeliverable parcel can be returned by the courier.
I paid but haven't received my order. What should I do?
Once the expected delivery time has passed, please contact us via the contact form.
Can I order from outside Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxembourg?
Yes. We ship worldwide. You can order from almost anywhere via our website. Delivery can take a few weeks to some destinations, so please give us an address that's as correct and complete as possible.
Returns & refunds
Can I return a product if I ordered the wrong size?
Yes, provided it meets our conditions: a product may be fitted but not worn or washed. Full details are under Shipping & Returns. Unsure about size? Contact us. We're happy to help you choose the right size and model.
Can I return an item for a refund?
Yes. You can return your order within 30 days for a refund, provided it's unworn, unwashed and the tag is still attached. Items in sealed packaging may only be returned unopened, in their original packaging. Full terms are under Shipping & Returns.
How do I return an item?
To return a product: make sure it meets our return conditions, then pack it neatly. For a step-by-step explanation, see Shipping & Returns.
What's the status of my return?
We'll message you when we process your return. If the status hasn't changed, we may not have received it yet, or haven't processed it yet.
Do I pay return shipping costs?
Yes, the shipping and cleaning costs of a return are for your own account. For full details, see Shipping & Returns.
Can I return a product later than 30 days?
The standard rule is 30 days, as stated on the Shipping & Returns page. If you can't return within this period, contact us. In some cases we can make an exception.
Have you received my return?
If your return status is still 'new', we either haven't received it yet or haven't processed it. If you're unsure whether the package arrived, please contact us.
Gifts & gift certificates
Can I send an order to someone else as a gift?
Yes. When ordering, add the option "Giftwrap" in the checkout comments, and you can include a personal message. You can also ship to a different address from the billing address.
Can I buy a gift certificate?

Can I return a product paid for with a gift certificate?
Yes, you can return it. Note that we can't transfer the amount to your bank account. We'll refund it as a gift certificate.
