GenderGender · Variable locations, based in Ghent · Part-time and seasonal · Student job, flexi or freelance · Start from October · Apply before 31 August 2026
Who we are
GenderGender is Belgium's gender shop. Based in the heart of Ghent and shipping across Europe, we've been bringing together everything you need to express yourself authentically since 2020, from binders and breast forms to pride accessories, because nobody should have to compromise.
We're also more than a shop. We're a community hub, and you'll find us at Belgian Prides and LGBTQI+ events all year round. That's where you come in.
What you'll do
As event coordinator you own our presence at festivals, Prides and community events, from the first registration to the last box back in the van. You plan, you build, you sell, and you think along about how we could do it better next time.
Logistics
- Scheduling and registering our participation in events
- Planning the team on site
- Setting up and dismantling the sales stand
Creative
- Planning which events we do and how we show up
- Thinking along about what could be done better or differently
On the day
- Customer contact and sales
- Till management
- Keeping the stand clean and tidy
Who you are
Experience in the events sector isn't required. A hands-on mentality is.
- You're customer-friendly, empathetic and patient, but also assertive
- You take responsibility and work independently
- You're creative and flexible, and you keep your head when a plan changes at 7am
- You're comfortable directing a small team on site
- You handle administrative follow-up without being reminded
- You speak fluent Dutch and English; French is a plus
- You have knowledge of or affinity with neurodivergence
- You hold a category B driving licence (not a provisional one)
What we offer
- A temp contract with the option of a permanent one, or work as a student, flexi or freelancer
- A part-time, seasonal schedule built around the event calendar
- Pay to be discussed, plus a travel allowance
- Variable workplaces: our Ghent shop, festival fields, Pride parades
- Start from October
- A warm, small-scale and inclusive working environment
